I've seen lots of gassers lately, many of them recent converts to the cause, but most of them have the motor in the stock location. Back in the day (and I know, I was there and had a real one) the NHRA rules allowed a 10% engine setback and any competitive gasser in the 60's had a setback of 11" (on a 115" wheelbase). On the one I had, you set the timing of the distributor via the glovebox door! Hope this one is done as they were back then.
