We're Hiring! Chassis Fabricator Wanted

We're looking for an additional full time chassis fabricator, building hot rods, customs, and race cars. Includes building frames from scratch for early hot rods all the way up to a full unitized construction race cars (drag and road racing). We need someone who can read blueprints, TIG, can "see" the finished project as they go, and someone who can think for themselves, and be as passionate about building hot rods as the rest of the HRCC family. A welding test (TIG) will be part of the interview process.

Former Military personnel are also highly encouraged, especially those with aircraft fabrication AFSC/MOS/Rate.

MUST be detail oriented. MUST have a good work ethic. MUST have good integrity. MUST be motivated. MUST have a love for obsolete technology. MUST love hot rods and customs. MUST have own tools.

We are a tight knit family and if you can actually rise to the challenge of the position, chances are you will never leave.
Send resumes to melanie@hotrodchassisandcycle.com or fax to 630.458.0810. INCLUDE a brief cover letter detailing why you think you have what it takes to build hot rods and race cars.

Mark your Calendars! Hot Rod Chassis & Cycle is once again abandoning all discretion in a sincere effort to spread Christmas cheer within the Hot Rod community. Please accept our invitation to join us after 7:00 pm on 20th of December for our annual holiday open house.

All of you Friday Night Adult Beverage regulars know the way, so do the SW Chicago HAMB and Eggers but just as a reminder here's where you need to be:

Hot Rod Chassis & Cycle
59 W. Factory Road
Addison, Illinois

From WEST : Take 355 to North Ave, exit East. When you get to Addison Road (look for the Portillo's on the right), watch for the rail road tracks, then turn left (North). At the first light (Factory Road) turn left (west). We're the 3rd building on the left.

From EAST : Take 290/294 to Rt. 64 Exit (North Ave) and go WEST 3 miles. At Addison Road make a RIGHT and go North to the first signal (Factory Rd). Make a LEFT and it's the 3rd building on the left.

BYOB and a dish to pass. Children are welcome with adult supervision.

Casual or dress up, it's up to you. Hope to see you there!

Hot Rod Magazine wants to know what you think of OVERKILL. Naturally with the stellar photos by McGaffin Digital Photography of the Kosmic Outcast... we LOVE it! :)
Our buddies at BANGshift have posted up another update on the HRCC Violent Valiant. In this installment, you get to meet our rather nice victi, uh, donar car. Check it out!

Rocket is making mad progress on Dougs '55. A set of ladder bars was just the fix for all the wheel hop and axle wrap. And the new HRCC 9" will take whatever we throw at it. We should have it a roller next week.
With all the updates we scheduled with Robert McGaffin on his PHR Project Olds '65 Olds 4-4-2, I kept looking the stock dash. And thinking how awful the stock "sweeper" speedo was. And then there was the gauge panel installed beneath the dash with the "missing" gauges that Detroit often left out of a dash in favor or idiot lights. I think this looks much better, don't you? So, Peter A. rang up the shop and said to me, "hey, I've got this '58 Bel Air that someone cut the roof off of. And I'd like something a bit different. You'll never guess what we have planned for this unsuspecting maligned '58. But it involves a stellar body mod, and "hauling the mail."
Doug's '55 Chevy is in the shop to receive a TKO600 and Quartermax Ladder bars with our 9" with Moser Engineering Guts. He was experiencing wheel hop and bad axle wrap with stock leaf springs, and we're going to fix that.
So you thought you seen everything? No. You haven't. HRCC is proud to announce (although a bit remiss) Project Violent Valiant!! A Plymouth Valiant is not exactly top of mind when tasked with building a kick ass race car. At a typical GoodGuys Autocross event, it’s tough to get noticed in a field dominated by Camaro’s, Nova’s and Chevelle’s running LS based motors. The Violent Valiant will hopefully help inspire the non-GM crowd to participate, and perhaps even think outside the box. We thought that the Valiant would be perfect because it is a small, light car and these A-body Mopars are almost built from the factory to be race cars. There’s not going to be much factory stuff left when we are done, but it is a great starting platform. Violent will feature Max Wedge based power with a Hilborn Fuel Injection backed by a Tremec T-56. Like our Raybestos 1964 GTO-R Giveaway Car, the Valiant will get a purpose built HRCC chassis in the style of vintage Trans Am racers with a healthy dose of modern technology. Look for the Violent Valiant at an Autocross or Road Racing event near you in 2014. WHY BUILD A ‘64 VALIANT? FOLLOW THE BUILD EXCLUSIVELY ON: BANGshift!

Everyone likes a nice rear end. We built one of our special "Double Live Gonzo" rear ends for Jim Priebe. Earth grabbing traction should result when Jim stabs the throttle and gives the rear tires a healthy dose of Lethal Injection.
Just in case you've missed it, The Kosmic Outcast made the cover of the current issue of Traditional Rod & Kustom. We were pretty stoked to receive this honor. Master photographer Tim Perroud shot the awesome photos, and Brandon Flannery told the store in graphic detail. Stop in the shop and pick up a copy, or run over to your favorite news stand.

This '36 Ford Sedan Delivery looks pretty decent from this angle. But looks can be deceiving. With only 11,652 produced, it's definitely worth saving, wouldn't you say?

Who says money can't buy happiness? Especially if the Raybestos Brand GTO-R takes up residence in your garage! As Canada is not terribly friendly to street driven race car owners, the prize winners have decided to sell the car to someone who hopefully will love it as much as they have.
