Spring Garage Days Swap Meet

Don't forget our swap meet coming up on April 25. Only $5 per spot. In the past we've had coupe bodies, roadster bodies, tons of speed parts, and some rare stuff that I know at least one person is sorry they didn't show up just a little bit earlier last time! Don't miss it. If you're not vending, it's a great reason to drive your car on a sunday and find something you can't live without.

Fix your rust!

We had a great turn out for the Hot Rod 101 sheet metal class and it seems like everyone was pleased and picked up a thing or two. Don't forget our next class on April 18, Plumbing for Dummies.

Hagerty Insurance!

We are proud to announce that Hot Rod Chassis and Cycle are now the preferred Chicagoland Hot Rod Repair Facility of Hagerty Insurance. Hot Rods are built to be driven, and occasionally some idiot is destined to ruin your day. Luckily folks at Hagerty understand that. And I personally have used them on all of our family's cars and have been more than happy with the service.

Chicago World of Wheels

We had a great time at the new and improved World of Wheels in Chicago. In the words of DW, "McCormick Place can suck it." Well, it sounds like something she would say anyway, and we fully agree. And we took we earned some hardware for our customers too. Tangerine Scream won best altered Pick up and the F-100 won Best in Class, and the Classic Truck Magazine pick. How cool is that?

March Tire Sale

Spring is coming, so now is the time to save on Coker Tires! Save 10% on Firestones, Coker Classics, etc. And buy a full set of (4) tires, and receive a FREE "Radials are for Old Men and Little Girls" Tshirt!

Chicago World of Wheels

If you're heading over to the Chicago World of Wheels over at the new location in Rosemont, keep an eye out for Tangerine Scream and also the F-100 Super Marauder. Stop by and say hi!

Detroit Autorama recognition

Our recently completed F-100 Super Marauder project made the trek up to the Detroit Autorama to be displayed in the basement for it's first major show and won the award for the best Hot Rod Pickup! We're all pretty stoked!

Thanks to HAMBer illflameit1 for the photo.

Mad Man Muntz!

When was the last time you saw a '52 Muntz? How about a Muntz with a six deuce Caddy motor? How about the second Muntz ever built? Rad.

This rare bird stopped by for a set of HRCC custom headers and exhaust.

The '80s are back

Ok, maybe not. This 80's style steel '32 Three Window coupe was in need of some updating. We're giving the frame a good working over. By the time this full fendered Deuce makes it (re)debut, you probably won't even recognize it. And that's a good thing!

Beauty Shots

We had a photoshoot with Tangerine Scream with photographer Dale Murray. He did a great job, and the photos look amazing. Here are just some quick shots I took on the shoot.

Kustoms and Hot Rods Magazine

Be sure to hit your local newstand or gas station for a copy of Auto Trader Classics Kustoms and Hot Rods. Inside you'll find an article on hot rod chassis' featuring the work of HRCC and also an article on the shop itself. Great pics and a good read! Also check out the '27 Chrysler that looks to have taken alot of inspiration from a certain Model A that we are certainly partial to. ;)

Out in the wild

It's fun to see where our stuff turns up sometimes. Here's our friend Scootermcrad in our 3 Pedals shirt at the Grand National Roadster Show in California. Hi Scooter! Captured in the moment by HAMBer JeffreyJames.

Vintage Drag Racing!

Just a reminder that the shop sponsored Hunnert Car Heads Up nostalgia drag racing event is coming up fast. Spring is just around the corner right?

False Alarms

Here's a pretty funny Three Stooges from 1936, at least until they wreck the Fire Captain's brand new '36 Ford!
